The Berry Pickers

When I originally requested The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters from the library on January 29th, I was 231st in line for the hold of the e-book edition. I was very surprised to see that the audiobook was available to be borrowed immediately on February 24th when I'd finished listening to Liz Cheney's memoir.

The Berry Pickers was a great novel to listen to while driving the hour each way back and forth to spend time with my husband who was in the hospital. It was excellent story telling that engaged me from the start.

The blurb states "A four-year-old Mi’kmaq girl goes missing from the blueberry fields of Maine, sparking a tragic mystery that haunts the survivors, unravels a community, and remains unsolved for nearly fifty years."

The one thing I found a little bit distracting was that the female reader sounded exactly like Cassidy Hutchinson! I'd highly recommend this one.
